Mission 2: Declare Your Challenge

This mission is meant to help you make progress in any self-development activity that helps you achieve the modern-day warrior’s mind, body and abilities. They include martial arts, fitness disciplines, parkour, meditation, emotional intelligence coursework and more.

And it doesn’t matter whether you are a beginner, old-timer or in-between.

Mission Details

  • Objective – Set and declare your target goals for no more than 2 activities
  • Deadline – 22 December 2015

Pick no more than 2 warrior self-developmental activities and set no more than 2 very specific target goals for each.

This means, at maximum, you can set a total of 4 target goals, shared equally between 2 activities. At minimum, you should set 1 target goal. Submit those goals via the mission submission portal (not yet ready).

Keep in mind that Mission 3 requires you to prove that you have reached at least one of your targets with photos or videos. You will need to figure out how to make it work. Be creative!

Beginners Example

Karate

  1. Sign up for Karate classes
  2. Spend 15 minutes on non-training days to practice basic moves that were taught in class

  1. Begin the Bar Brothers System routine
  2. Be able to do 2 pullups

Aikido

  1. Perform forward rolls with only one arm after being thrown by my opponent
  2. Be able to throw a proper hook and straight punch (as part of being a realistic uke)

Parkour

  1. Sign up for parkour classes to avoid having to plan training schedules
  2. Be able to transition into three vaults smoothly from a run

When should you begin working on your targets

Now. You can begin before submitting the target goals.

But, because it’s the holiday season, most of you ninjas may only begin serious training after Christmas. But remember – even 10 minutes each day will make a difference at the end of the challenge.

So, enjoy the holidays with family and friends. Rope them in when training for your target goals. Make everyone fo burpees before and after dinner. You’re welcome!
